Photojournalistic work examples for the local community newspaper group

The Metro News Group has a vast circulation feeding a number of localized communities in the Western New York area. A “free” community newspaper, sponsored through localized business advertising, and includes many features surrounding local events. It’s target audience is predominately localized and includes businesses and families within specific counties. The features covered in the gallery are events that occurred within the Niagara county area of Western New York.

Starpoint Intermediate School “Invent-a-thon,” student inventions/creations and awards. 3/22/07. 53 inventions awarded gold medals or red ribbons for student efforts. 3rd grade student Jack Kolbmann of Lockport (featured) gives a confident "thumbs-up," with his handy "Pet Pockets" invention, a coat for your pet with many handy pockets for all your pets items.

Miss Niagara County 2007 finals held at Niagara Falls High School, 3/3/07, winner Jennifer Starkey from Niagara Falls and attending Buffalo State College, receives her crowning glory in front of a packed auditorium.
